Poor Max!!

Because he hates getting brushed and won't let us trim him, our long-haired alpha cat Max went in for some much-needed grooming today to clear him of his accumulated matted hair. And as expected, he emerged looking pretty comical! :) Without further adieu, here's the new Max:

Happy Birthday Xia!

Today is Xia's 6th birthday!¹ Of our 3 cats, Xia is the only girl and is extremely unique—for years we've said about her, "Nobody knows what a Xia is!" The reason? When we just had two cats (Xia and her older brother), Xia was the most un-catlike cat: she'd fall off things, try to be stealthy and just not be, couldn't fight for her life, etc. But after we got our third cat, she magically became the most graceful, best-leaping cat in the house! Go figure.
